What are the classifications of centrifugal fans?
Feb 29, 2024
Classification of centrifugal fans by pressure and function
1 Ventilator: The exhaust pressure of the ventilator is relatively small, not exceeding 0.015MPa;
2 Blower: The exhaust pressure of the blower is slightly larger, not exceeding 0.2MPa;
3 Compressor: The exhaust pressure of the compressor is from 1 to 100MPa.
Classification of centrifugal fans by working principle
1 Centrifugal fans are mainly radial flows after the airflow enters the impeller of the fan axially. This type of fan is made according to the principle of centrifugal action, and the products include centrifugal fans, centrifugal blowers and centrifugal compressors.
2 Axial flow fans are airflows that enter the impeller of the fan axially and flow approximately along the axial direction on the cylindrical surface. This type of fan includes axial flow fans, axial flow blowers and axial flow compressors.
3 Rotary fans work by changing the volume of the air chamber by rotating the rotor. Common varieties include Roots blowers and rotary compressors.
