How to Clean the Interior of an Industrial Pressure Blower Without Causing Damage

Jun 07, 2025

1. Preparation

Before cleaning, make sure to turn off and disconnect the blower from the power source to avoid any electrical accidents. Gather the appropriate cleaning tools such as soft-bristled brushes, vacuum cleaners with suitable attachments, and clean, lint-free cloths. Also, refer to the manufacturer's instructions for any specific cleaning recommendations.

2. External Cleaning

Start by cleaning the exterior of the blower to prevent dust and debris from falling into the interior during the cleaning process. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the housing, being careful not to let any water seep into the electrical components or the motor.

3. Inlet and Outlet Cleaning

For the inlet and outlet, use a vacuum cleaner to remove loose debris. If there is caked-on dirt or residue, a soft - bristled brush can be used gently to loosen it. Avoid using sharp-edged tools that could damage the internal surfaces.

4. Impeller Cleaning

The impeller is a crucial and delicate part. Use a vacuum cleaner with a long-nosed attachment to reach the spaces between the blades. For more stubborn dirt, very gentle brushing with a soft-bristled brush can be done while the impeller is stationary. Make sure not to bend or damage the blades during the process.

5. Interior Housing Cleaning

Once the impeller is clean, use a vacuum to clean the interior of the housing. Wipe down the surfaces with a slightly damp cloth if necessary, but ensure it's not overly wet to prevent water damage. After cleaning, allow the blower to air-dry completely before reconnecting it to the power source and putting it back into operation.
